Minns Network Developments on behalf of a private family trust, acquired a 11.75 acres site on the edge of Winslow which is located close to Milton Keynes and Buckingham. Winslow is on the route of the new train line between Oxford and Bedford.
The new Winslow Railway Station will connect the town with London, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bicester, Bedford and Aylesbury. The work to upgrade the line between Oxford and Bicester, with the new Oxford Parkway Station is now completed. Work has now commenced on re-opening the line between Bicester & Bedford, with the new Winslow Railway Station due to open in early 2019.
Planning consent was granted for approximately 148,000 sq ft of Office, Industrial & Warehouse, uses together with a new railway station which will have a capacity of 400 parking spaces. However, the sites accommodated the 600 pupil Sir Thomas Fremantle Secondary School and the new railway station as well as two plots being sold to Thrive Housing for affordable homes.
